Special Needs Support Ministry

Special Needs Parent Support Group

Embracing the special needs life. You are not alone.

With the support of The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, a Parent Support group, for special needs families meets on the last Tuesday of every month. The group is led by a special needs parent. The purpose of the group is so that families do not feel isolated after that diagnosis. The group is a safe place to share hope filled resources, provide encouragement, support, and inspiration. It is about grabbing a cup of coffee, sitting down to engage with one another in meaningful conversations about our fears, joys, accomplishments, and future planning. We can laugh together, cry together, pray together within a community of people who truly get what it’s like raising children with special needs.

Self-care is one of the best things a parent can gift their child whether that be within your faith, relationships, and/or mental health wholeness. We welcome you all to join us.

Shooting Stars

Shooting stars is a program for our special needs children & young adults. We meet every 3rd Saturday, of the month at 12:30 pm for 1 hour in the Archangel Michael Church gymnasium.

Our mission is to empower children & young adults with instilling self-confidence, providing opportunities to improve socialization skills, motor skill development and exercise.

A place where kids of all ages and abilities can meet and make new friends with the assistance of the GOYA volunteers.  This is a great opportunity to promote community support. Come join us.
